Main Street retail expands with second children’s clothing store

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Main Street has a new addition targeted to the younger set. Little Blossom Boutique opened earlier this month in Presque Isle with a better-than-expected turnout. Half the inventory was sold that day, even though sibling owners Lexi Theriault and Abbi Frost had been fully stocked ahead of time.

Pride Aroostook rallies for youth in Presque Isle and Houlton

 Pride Aroostook recently held rallies in Presque and Houlton to support trans and queer youth. Around 11 people gathered on March 31 near the bridge on Route 1 in Presque Isle. On the same day, another group met in Houlton’s Monument Park.

Bookstore sees success and expands in Presque Isle

Presque Isle’s only independent bookstore has expanded into a new space. Owner Laura Hale has moved Neighborhood Books from 375 Main St. to a larger site at 260 Main St., Suite C, between the Aroostook Agency on Aging and Big Cheese Pizza.

Wade passes budget at town meeting
