The Mars Hill Barber recently opens

THE MARS HILL BARBER recently opened the doors on Main Street in Mars Hill. David Peers cut hair for many years in the Bangor area. He bought Basil Trombley’s barber chair, and it traveled with him from Maine to Florida and Arizona, before “coming home” to Mars Hill.

He is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday, and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. “If the barber pole is out – he’s in.” Pictured for the ribbon cutting are, from left: Ray Mersereau, – town manager; David Peers; Sam Mahan, Town Council; Todd Grass, – Town Council; and Diane Libby, Town Council. Sam said that David took too much off the top!
