CARIBOU, Maine — The Miss Northern Maine and Miss Aroostook pageant will be held at the Caribou Performing Arts Center Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015 at 3:30 pm.

Doors will open to the public at 3:00. Participants in the onstage competition, open to girls ages 2 and over, will vie for the following titles in these age divisions:

Miss Mini: ages 2-4; Miss Petite: ages 5-8; Miss Pre-Teen: ages 9-12; Miss Teen: ages 13-15; Miss: ages 16-19; and the final category, Ms., for age 20 and up, is open to women who are either single, married or have been married.

Founded in 1997 by Theresa Pelletier, the program is designed to provide contestants with a positive pageant experience and help them to develop greater poise and self-confidence, while offering an excellent opportunity to develop their overall onstage composure.

Contestants are judged in their respective age divisions in the following categories: opening number, evening gown, and onstage speech competitions.  Added to their score is the contestant’s highest score obtained in the optional competitions; talent, modeling and photogenic. The contestants achieving the highest total overall scores will be crowned Miss Northern Maine or Miss Aroostook, in their respective age division.

Tickets are available at the door for $10, or $8 for students and seniors.
