WOODLAND – Andrew Jandreau, 82, died July 7, 2014, at Caribou. He was born in St. Francis February 14, 1932, the son of the late Levite and Roseanna Jandreau.
Mr. Jandreau served with the U.S. Army during Korea and was employed by the Pinkham Lumber Company for a number of years as well as a fire warden with the Maine Forest Service. He was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Andrew will be remembered by many for his love of music and making music. He was a one man band and volunteered his music talents at all of the local nursing facilities as well as in the St. John Valley. He loved to help anyone who needed help.
Mr. Jandreau was predeceased by his wife Carmen (Morneault) Jandreau in 2009; a son, Eugene, in 1991; three sisters, Claudette Ouellette, Nora Michaud and Lorraine Michaud; and a brother, Adrien Jandreau. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Aline and Bob Brissette of Caribou and Jacqueline and Kurt Derrah of Limestone; three grand-daughters, Jocelyn (Derrah) Dillon and her husband, Joshua, Melissa (Brissette) Hersey and her husband, Michael, and Heather (Brissette) Stalker and her husband, Joseph; five great-grandchildren, Aiden, Bryce, Camden and Ella Dillon and Harper Stalker; one brother, Fernald Jandreau of Fort Kent; a special companion, Fernande Pelletier of Fort Kent; several nieces, nephews and brothers-in-law.
Friends may visit with the family 9-11 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2014, at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, where memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at St. Louis Cemetery, Limestone. Following the services, all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at the St. Louis Parish Hall, Limestone.
