BRUNSWICK—Whitney Anne Grass has been awarded the Kibbe Science Fellowship.
The Kibbe Science Fellowship, established by Dr. Frank W. Kibbe, Class of 1937, and his wife, Lucy H. Kibbe, supports student research in the sciences.
Whitney Anne Grass, of Mars Hill, is a geology major, class of 2010. A Sarah and James Bowdoin Scholar, she is a graduate of Central Aroostook High School.
CASTINE — Wilfred Guerrette, of Presque Isle, was recently named to the dean’s list at Maine Maritime Academy for outstanding academic achievement in the second semester of the 2008-2009 academic year. Students named to the dean’s list earn a grade point average of 3.3 or above on a 4.0 scale.
Guerrette, a member of the Class of 2011, is majoring in power engineering technology. He is a graduate of Presque Isle High School.
