Webinar to offer business recovery tips
Agility Recovery and the U.S. Small Business Administration will hold a free webinar Jan. 14 from 2-3 p.m. that will discuss how small- and large-scale disasters in 2013 caused business interruptions and losses, and the lessons learned.
Factors leading to financial losses after a disaster can be offset by having a recovery plan in place. Topics discussed will include the latest trends in business continuity planning, tips on how businesses can prepare for disasters, and ideas to increase an organization’s preparedness and recovery.
Space is limited. Register at https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/711599609.
Local artist exhibits
Caribou artist Jme Smith’s exhibit “The Robot, The Rooster, The Red Dress, and The Blue Indian” will be on display through Jan. 11 at the University of Maine at Presque Isle’s Reed Gallery.
The exhibit is the third of a four-set series, “Inspired by Toys.” Smith is an UMPI alumnus and, though he grew up in central Maine and lived in the southern part of the state for a period of time, he now calls Caribou home.
The Reed Gallery is open Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. For more information contact gallery director Heather Sincavage at 768-9942.
