    FORT KENT – Theresa M. “Terry” Labbe, 85, wife of Herbert J. Labbe, passed away Sunday afternoon, December 8, 2013, at a Caribou nursing facility, following an extended illness. She was born February 27, 1928, in Wallagrass, the daughter of Roy and Mamie (Duprey) White.
    She was a graduate of the Fort Kent High School and was a communicant of St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent for many years. She was married to Herbert J. Labbe on February 18, 1947.
    In addition to her parents, Terry was predeceased by one brother, Elmer White. She is survived by her husband of sixty-six years, Herbert J. Labbe of Van Buren; one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Alice Labbe of North Tonawanda, New York; three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Brent Bernier of Caribou, Judy and Lloyd Leavitt of Limestone, Hilda and Dana Beaulieu of Soldier Pond; three sisters, Paula Daigle, and Diane Guy and her husband Jim, all of Virginia, Rita Perreault of Wallagrass; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grand-children; numerous nieces and nephews.
    Friends called Saturday, December 14, 2013, from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield, where a memorial service was conducted at 1 p.m. with Father Raymond Morency officiating. Spring interment will take place at the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Limestone. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments was held after the service at the VFW Paul Lockhart Post Number 6187, Presque Isle Street, Fort Fairfield. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mrs. Labbe to the Alzheimer’s Association Maine Chapter, 383 US Route One, Suite 2C, Scarborough, Maine 04074.
