Fall fun festival
The annual fall fun festival at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center takes place Oct. 31 from 6-8 p.m. Fun and games will be offered to youths in Pre K through grade 6. There will be costume judging, games and prizes. The event is sponsored by the VFW and VFW Auxiliary.
Take It Outside Series
The “Take It Outside” Adult Series is back again this year with exciting trips for area adults.

Men’s basketball
Men’s basketball meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7-9 p.m. through April 30, 2014. There will be an organizational meeting tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation center. Anyone interested in having a team in the league must have a representative at this meeting.
Men’s 30-and-over basketball
Men’s 30-and-over basketball begins this week and meets Tuesdays from 7-9 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m.-noon through April 20, 2014. The program is designed for gentlemen 30 years of age and over and meets at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center gym. There is a $3 fee per person during the Sunday session.
Kids’ playgroup
The recreation department will provide gym space for parents and toddlers. This is a self-guided program which meets Wednesdays from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Participants can bring toys, but no black rubber-wheeled toys.
Please check posted schedules for activities that may result in the cancellation of this open time.
Fall and winter programs
There are still openings for the following programs: grades 1 and 2 basketball session II, grades 3-4 boys and girls basketball, grade 4-6 girls basketball, grades 5-6 boys basketball and grades 4-6 cheerleading.
The fee for these programs is $10 per child for residents and $25 per child for non-residents. Pre-registration is required.
