Halfway Home Pet Rescue volunteers agree that Puddy Kat is one very special boy, and he knows it. He loves all people but does not care very much for other cats or dogs. “Puddy Kat is very clean, healthy, happy and loving being petted and admired. He will be a wonderful addition to a one-pet only family,” said HHPR President Norma Milton.  All of Puddy Kat’s medical procedures (nearly $200 worth) have been completed and during the HHPR Cat-O-Rama this week, he is free to a good home. “HHPR volunteers feel it is more important to place our cats in good homes as soon as possible so we can be available to help other cats who are in great need,” Milton explained. HHPR has sent 52 kittens downstate to coastal shelters and still we are way over our comfortable capacity. Milton says that this overload of needy felines has placed a huge stress on the rescue’s pet supplies and volunteers are very grateful for the outpouring of gifts of cat supplies and financial gifts toward their feline medical bills. “These cats are fantastic, sweet, loving, clean and have tested very well for temperament for family life,” she added. The special free adoptions will be available until Saturday, Oct. 19 with that day’s adoption hours running from noon to 3 p.m. FMI, call Mary at 999-1075.
