Sympathy
Our sympathy goes out to Lucille (Fuller) Alexander whose husband, Joseph Alexander, of Winterport, passed away on April 30. He grew up in Bangor, graduating from the Bangor High School in the Class of 1947. He worked as an operations manager for Nabisco for 42 years and they made their home in Winterport. He loved arts and crafts, especially needlepoint. He also enjoyed caring for his house and grounds, scootering and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Lucille, in Winterport; his children: Richard of Bangor; Donald and family, of Racine, Wis.; Diana Webster and family of Shakopee, Minn.; Joseph, Jr. and family of Winterport; and Sharon Alexander of Natick, Mass. He also leaves a sister, Janice Noyes, of Carmel, and four grandchildren.
For those who knew John Carter, who grew up in Mapleton and Presque Isle, and graduated from Presque Isle High School, son of Robert Carter and the late Ethel Carter, you may be interested to know that John passed away on Monday, May 4, at the hospice center, in Auburn, after a long battle with bone cancer. He leaves, beside his wife and daughter: his father, Robert, in South Berwick; a sister, Diane and family, in Presque Isle; and a brother, Ronald and family, in Tennessee. Funeral services were held in the 1st Parish Congregational Church in Brunswick on Saturday, May 9.
