At a recent special event at Good Shepherd Food Bank in Brewer, Melissa Huston of Good Shepherd accepts a loaf of bread and a check for $500 on behalf of the United Baptist Church Food Pantry in Caribou from Jon Paradise, AVP, governmental and public affairs for the Maine Credit Union League as part of the Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger. The Caribou pantry was one of two in Aroostook County to receive contributions as the Ending Hunger campaign distributed some of the $471,000 it raised in 2012.
