Take It Outside Adults Series
The Take It Outside Adult Series is back again this year with exciting trips for area adults. Allagash Wilderness Waterway overnight trip is Aug. 24-25. The fee is $75. On Aug. 27 is Kings Landing trip. The fee is $50. On Sept. 6 is MIZPAH and the Edmundston Botanial Gardens trip. The fee is $35.

Theme park discounts
Discount tickets for the 2013 summer season at the Funtown/Splashtown, Water Country and Aquaboggan theme parks in southern Maine are on sale at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center.
Save over 28 percent off the price at the gate. This program is sponsored by Maine Recreation and Parks Association.
Outdoor pool hours
General swim hours are Monday through Thursday 1-4 p.m. through Thursday, Aug. 8. Children six years of age and under must be accompanied on the pool deck at all times by a parent or designated guardian. Children that are not potty trained must wear rubberized, elastic legged coverings in the water.
Soccer grades 1-2
This program meets at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center. Children will be escorted to Teague Park by Park and Recreation staff. Participants need only sneakers, shorts or sweatpants, a T-shirt and a sweatshirt on cooler days. In the event of rain, the program will be held in the Wellness and Recreation Center gymnasium. Pre-registration is required. The registration fee is $10. Parents will need to write a note to the school allowing their child to take the bus to the recreation center. Registration deadline is Sept. 9.
Soccer grades 3-6
The propose of these leagues is to enable children to have fun playing soccer while developing those skills that are fundamental to the game. A players’ meeting will be held Aug. 15 at 6 p.m. at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center gymnasium. Play will begin the week of Aug. 19. The fee for this program is $16.50, which includes a T-shirt and mouthguard. Pre-registration is required.
