    Carlton P. “Pat” Harris, 73, of Addison, died suddenly on Monday, July 22, 2013, at Corning Hospital after becoming ill at home.
    Born in Presque Isle, Maine, on Jan. 3, 1940, Pat was the son of Carlton A. and Frances I. Fewer Harris. He was raised in Maine and on Nov. 27, 1959, he and the former Gail A. Page were married in Caribou, Maine. They made their home together in New England until moving to their home in Rathbone in 1986.
    Pat was a very talented carpenter and wood craftsman. He had worked on many building projects throughout the Northeast, especially in Connecticut. He was a gifted model ship builder as well as a maker of other wood crafted items with every piece constructed by his skilled hands. Growing up near the ocean, Pat loved to return to the shore for visits.
    He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gail Harris of Addison; his daughters and son-in-law, Sherry Patterson of South Carolina and Laurie and Jack Lewis of Cohocton; his son, Bret Harris of South Carolina; grandchildren, Brandon Sealy, Kayla (Rev. Shelby) Deatherage, Patrick Lewis and Jack (Erika) Lewis II; great-grandchildren, Malaki Deatherage, Zavan Deatherage, Zoe Deatherage and Austin Lewis and a Lewis great-granddaughter who has yet to arrive. Pat also leaves a sister, Julie Harris; and nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his brothers, Douglas and Carroll Harris.
    Funeral services were conducted on Friday, July 26 at 11 a.m. at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY with Pastor Adam Smith officiating. Burial followed in Woodhull Cemetery.
