Old Fashion Barn Dance on Aug. 17
STOCKHOLM — Members of the American Legion in Stockholm are hosting an Old Fashion Barn Dance on Saturday, Aug. 17. Admission is $5 per person, with children under 12 admitted for free.
The music will be provided by 3B’s, and refreshments will be available for purchase.
Bike tour of weapons storage area focus of Second Saturday event
LIMESTONE — In conjunction with their Second Saturday series, Friends of the Aroostook National Wildlife Refuge will be hosting a group bike ride on Saturday, Aug. 10 at the Limestone refuge.
Participants must bring their own bike, and the event begins at the parking lot of the Visitors Center at the refuge.
The tour will take cyclists down to the Weapons Storage Area of the former base.
