    Bud Plourde, 57, passed away at home surrounded by his family on April 8, 2013. He was born in Caribou, on May 25, 1955, to Gregory J. and Ada P. (Chapman) Plourde.
    Bud grew up in Stockholm, and attended Stockholm Elementary School and Caribou High School. He received a two-year degree in Electronics from Northern Maine Vocational Technical College in Presque Isle. He met his beloved wife, Brenda, while at NMVTI. They were married and lived in Presque Isle for five years, then moved to Calais for sixteen years. They moved west to Oregon in 1997. Bud worked up the ranks in paper mills from Electrician to an Electrical Maintenance Superintendent. In 2008, he went on the road working for an electrical contractor as an Electrical Maintenance Superintendent. He and his wife traveled all over the northwest enjoying life.
    Bud enjoyed the great outdoors. He was an avid trapper, fisherman and hunter. You could find him camping and doing hist-orical re-enact-ments of the Mountain Man era pre-1840 with his wife.
    In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Brenda (Boucher) Plourde; sons, Jesse Plourde of Rainier, OR, and Matthew Plourde and his wife, Tiffany, of West Linn, OR; and grandsons, Jeramiah and Hunter.  He is also survived by three sisters, Colleen Newbegin and her husband, Jeff, of Newport, VT, Donna Campbell and her, husband, Tom of Stockholm; and Elaine Haines and her husband, Neal, of Caribou.  He also leaves several nephews, aunts and uncles.
    A funeral service will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church on Saturday July 13, 2013, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
