Visiting Nurses of Aroostook staff recognized
CARIBOU — Officials with Visiting Nurses of Aroostook (VNA) recently announced that Monique Campbell, RN, Jessica St. Peter, RN and Ruth White have successfully completed the Certificate for OASIS Specialist – Clinical exam sponsored by OASIS Answers, Inc. (OAI). OASIS (Outcome and Assessment Information Set) is a data set required for use in home health agencies across the country to measure outcomes and processes, and to determine reimbursement for home health patients.
“We are very proud of these staff members,” explained Julie Bouchard, RN, COS-C, BSBA, Director of quality assessment and performance improvement. “Having Monique, Jessica and Ruth receive the designation of COS-C means all of our clinicians have direct access to staff members that can both support their newly acquired skills and enhance improved OASIS accuracy scoring. This is a win for our patients as we use the tool to help create individualized plans of care that will provide the best outcomes from the services received by VNA staff,” she added.
