    CARIBOU – Floyd Charles Parker, 94, died April 25, 2013 at Houlton. He was born in Connor July 7, 1918, the son of the late Charles and Sybil (West) Parker. Mr. Parker was a self-employed woodsman and was also employed by Sutherland Farms for many years. He married the late Ivy Holmes Parker and she predeceased him in 2005. Floyd loved to tend his gardens and was an avid snowmobiler and also loved to four-wheel. He enjoyed spending time with his family at the camps he built, and had a special love for feeding his birds.
    He is survived by his grandchildren, Penny Bernard and her husband, Joe, of Fort Fairfield, and Todd Parker and his wife, Sherri, of Woodland; great-grandchildren, Alexis and Kay-Lee Parker and Jonah and Saré Bernard; many nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Virginia Philbrick, and a special nephew, Stanley Dubey; special family friends, Floyd and Gloria Burby and Allie. Mr. Parker was predeceased by two sons, Dana and Lloyd, a daughter-in-law, Patricia, and his brothers and sisters, Lela Pelkey, Marjorie Gagnon, Annie Lister, Dwinal Parker, Charlie Parker and Addie Dubey.
    Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, from 12 noon Saturday, April 27, 2013 until time of services, which were held at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Thomas Bentum officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
