CARIBOU — Members of the Caribou High School National Honor Society will be hosting a citywide collection of clothing on Saturday, April 6 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the high school gymnasium. This is an excellent chance to get a jump on your spring-cleaning and as a way to assist the NHS of Caribou reach its goal of collecting 66 tote boxes of clothing. All of the clothing will be donated to Catholic Charities of Maine. The proceeds from the recycling of this donation will be used to provide food to the twenty-five food pantries from Fort Kent to Southern Aroostook. Any form of clothing, cloth, shoes, boots, belts, linen, and sleeping bags will be graciously accepted. As of March 27, members of Caribou NHS have collected 46 totes and need only 20 more to reach a full tractor trailer load, which would equal almost $12,000 for the purchase of food.
