Woodland, Grade 5
My name is Andrew Thomas Driscoll, and I used to live in TX.
Day 1
I was told I was moving to ME. I was sad but at the same time happy, so basically neutral. So I got started packing for our trip. Along with clothes, I decided to bring my PS2 with games and my bike.
Day 2
We stayed in a hotel and two restaurants, and apparently Bear, my dog, jumped out the window of the U-Haul cab, and Zena, Adam’s dog, started going crazy in the cage in the back, so it was a awkward day.
Day 3
We went to GA. We went on the highway and went to two or three restaurants and a hotel. I have no idea. We stopped for gas and two full sets of tires in case of a flat. My brother, Jacob, and I heard fireworks. We woke up my mom and we all started watching the fireworks. Afterwards we went to bed. It was July 4th.
Day 4
The traffic on the highway was faster than expected. I guess they were in a hurry too. We went through TN for a shortcut and went to a slow highway. One lane was going really fast. We joined that one, and successfully made it to NY. We bypassed NY. Just then, we had a half flat. We used two tires and started towards ME again.
Day 5
Today was the day we got to my new home. Thank goodness we unpacked and started living. That’s how it ended, but I really missed and still do miss my home down in Texas.
