PRESQUE ISLE — February is American Heart Month. Most people know someone who has had a heart attack or stroke.
What else can you do? Healthy Aroostook, a program of Aroostook County Action Program (ACAP) and a local Healthy Maine Partnership, is asking businesses, organizations and groups to support women’s heart health by wearing red Friday, Feb. 1, which is National Wear Red Day. ACAP encourages participants to send a photo of the group wearing red to promote women’s heart health. The pictures will be posted to Healthy Aroostook’s Facebook page.
