LIMESTONE — If not enough community members attend the downtown revitalization meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 15, the town could lose the chance to apply for a $500,000 grant.
At the close of a special selectpeople meeting on Monday night, Selectperson Marilyn King reminded the community of the Jan. 15 Downtown Revitalization Committee meeting; the meeting serves a crucial role in establishing the community participation necessary for the town to be able to apply for a $500,000 grant for the United States Department of Agriculture Community Development Block Grant.
Grant writer Dave Wylie, who has written other successful grants for Limestone in the past, will be present at the meeting to explain the pre-grant process.
Community members are encouraged to attend the 6:30 p.m. meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 15 at the Limestone Town Office. Additional information can be obtained by calling the town office at 325-4704.
