Snowmobile Education Course
There will be a Snowmobile Education Course held offered Dec. 20 and 21 from 6-9 p.m. at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center. There is a $5 registration fee and pre-registration is required.
Recreation center hours
From Dec. 21-Jan. 1, 2013, walking hours at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center will be Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-9 p.m. and Saturday from noon-4 p.m.
The center will be open on Monday, Dec. 24 from 8 a.m.-noon and Monday, Dec. 31 from 1 a.m.-4 p.m. and will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
Basketball programs
Boys basketball for boys in grades 5 and 6 meets Tuesday, Thursday and some Fridays from 3-5 p.m. This program runs from Jan. 3 through March 14, 2013. Pre-registration is required for this program.
Girls basketball for girls in grades 4 through 6 meets Mondays, Wednesdays and some Friday from 3-5 p.m. This program runs from Jan. 2 through March 15, 2013. Pre-registration is required.
Elks Hoop Shoot
On Thursday, Dec. 27, the recreation department will host the annual Elk’s Hoop Shoot for youths ages 8-13. The event starts at 2 p.m. and will be held at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center. Pre-registration is required.
Family night
Family night with giant inflatables, games, four-square, Nintendo Dance Dance Revolution, X-Box Kinect Sport and Dance Games and Belly Bumpers is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 28 from 6-8 p.m.
