Duncan wins snowmobile raffle

Toys for Tots Aroostook County Coordinator Rudy St. Peter was pleased to announce that Nancy Duncan of Presque Isle is the winner of the snowmobile raffle that raised over $2,000 for the Toys for Tots program; St. Peter credits the support from Chandler Farms of Mapleton for the success of the raffle, and reminds the community that the Toys for Tots program, which provides holiday gifts for underprivileged youths, is ongoing right until the last fund-raising event on Dec. 22 in Fort Kent. The final push to help youths have a happy holidays will be a dinner dance in honor of Military Recognition Night at the Knights of Columbus building in Fort Kent. The event begins with social hour from 5-6 p.m. and dinner is served from 6-7 p.m. In addition to support the Toys for Tots program, the evening serves to honor all of Aroostook County’s veterans — active and non-active alike. Tickets are $10.
