CARIBOU — Now that December has arrived, Christmas is on the minds of children and parents alike. Tomaseen Foley’s “A Celtic Christmas,” which will be performed at the Caribou Performing Arts Center on Thursday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m., is an ideal way for the whole family to get into the holiday spirit.
The show recreates the joy and innocence of a night before Christmas in a farmhouse in a remote parish in the west of Ireland, when neighbors gather around the fire to grace the long wintry night with the laughter of their stories, the sounds of their music and the joy of their dances.
Master storyteller Tomaseen Foley has assembled a group that includes the virtuoso Irish musician Kathleen Keane, who has also trained under Rivverdance’s Michael Flatley; Grammy-winning guitarist William Coulter; noted piper and world-class Irish dancer Brian Bigley; and Irish dance professional Marcus Donnelly.
“A Celtic Christmas” has been touring for the past 15 years, entertaining audiences across the U.S. Theirs is a cultural Christmas feast for the whole family, featuring some of the finest exponents of the Celtic arts performing anywhere today on either side of the Atlantic.
Advance tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students and will also be available at the door for the same prices. The box office will also accept credit cards.
