Caribou – Rudolph P. Martin, 86, died unexpectedly November 14, 2012 at Bangor. He was born in Lawrence, MA, June 29, 1926, the son of the late Levi and Beatrice (Corriveau) Martin.
Mr. Martin was a self employed carpenter in the Caribou area for many years. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was also a longtime fourth degree member of the Fred V. Brescia Council 1870 Knights of Columbus. Rudolph enjoyed spending time with his family and especially enjoyed fishing.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Virginia (Caron) Martin of Caribou, are three brothers, Leo Martin of Caribou and Francis and Elmer Martin of California; four sisters, Thelma Brownstein, of AZ, Rita Michaud, Gloria Smith and Lorraine Roy all of CT, two grandchildren, Nicole and Ricky, as well as many nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Gail Nadeau, her husband Tony and their children.
Mr. Martin was predeceased by a son, Richard, two brothers, Robert and Gerard, and a sister, Cecile.
Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, 6-8 p.m., Sunday. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 19, 2012, from the Parish of the Precious Blood Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
