The eighth-grade boys basketball team at Caribou Middle School picked up three wins to open its season.
The Viking dominated Fort Kent Nov. 6, 90-21, with Noah Heidorn leading the offense with 19 points. Nick Allen and Dominick Judd each posted 12 and Matt Nadeau netted 10.
In a 47-43 triumph over Fort Fairfield Nov. 8, Judd was dominant in rebounding and also paced the offensive attack with 23 points. Josiah Krul had 10 points, including some crucial free throws in the fourth quarter. Connor Plourde and Noah Frost were the defensive standouts.
On Nov. 13, CMS got past Presque Isle, 43-29, behind an effective pressure defense. Krul’s 11 points led the way, while Seth Beidelman and Bailey Griffeth played well off the bench for coach Steve Perreault’s squad.
