Tim Hortons hosts annual food drive

Aroostook County Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shops are hosting the seventh annual food drive supporting Catholic Charities of Maine.

Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop and Town Square Media have partnered to put on this program since 2005. Restaurant owners are encouraging guests to donate non-perishable foods throughout the week of Nov. 12. The donations will be delivered to Catholic Charities of Maine, which supports 24 food banks throughout the county.

“We’re amazed every year at how much the people of Presque Isle come out and donate to ensure that their fellow community members have enough to eat this holiday season,” said Scottie Bragdon, owner of the Presque Isle Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop.

As an incentive for the community’s participation, Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop is giving all guests who donate food items Saturday, Nov. 17 a free medium hot coffee.

Drop off locations include Madawaska, Houlton, Caribou and Presque Isle restaurants.
