CARIBOU — Just in time for the upcoming holiday greeting card photo season, a new photography and art studio has opened in Caribou.
Fanciful Impressions held its grand opening on Oct. 29. The studio is located at 5 Bennett Drive, on the corner of Bennett Drive and High Street.

Co-owners Cathy Marquis and her daughter, Courtney Rewels, have over 16 years’ photography experience combined. Marquis, originally from South Carolina, moved to Caribou four years ago; Rewels followed suit about two months ago.
Opening the studio has been a work in progress for the mother-and-daughter team for most of the year.
“We like to provide unique and fun sessions with all our clients,” Rewels explained about the experience of getting photos done at their studio. In-studio portraits as well as photo shoots at outdoor locations are available.
Along with their photography, Marquis and Rewels hope to feature artwork and crafts from local artists, showcasing an Artist of the Month in their studio. The ladies also aspire to sponsor art walks similar to the monthly event held in downtown Presque Isle.
The photographers offer a wide variety of types of portraits, including singles, couples, engagement, children, family, prom, seniors, pets, bridal, wedding, holiday, and many others. Rewels hand sews tutus that can be used during the sitting if the customer wishes.
Fanciful Impressions is currently running specials for fall and winter packages. Current hours of operation are Monday and Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Walk-In Wednesday, open at 9 a.m. until as long as necessary; Thursday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The studio is closed on Sunday.
