Caribou High School fall athletes receive awards

Caribou sophomore Dayne Savage earned MVP honors in varsity golf during Monday’s fall sports awards night held at Caribou High School.

CARIBOU – Caribou High School held its fall sports awards night Nov. 15. Special recognition went to team MVP selections, letter sweater recipients and four-year letter winners in the same sport.

Athletes named most valuable players in their respective sports were the following: Dayne Savage, varsity golf; Dean Walker, boys varsity soccer; Olivia Sleeper, girls varsity soccer; Ron Lund, boys varsity cross country; Lukas Lagasse, boys JV cross country; Mackenzie Belyea, girls varsity cross country; Lauren Chapman, girls JV cross country; Austin Griffeth, boys JV soccer; and Bria Judd, girls JV soccer.

A letter sweater, for accumulating seven varsity letters during their high school careers, went to Matt Milliard.

Six athletes earned jackets for accumulating four letters in one sport during their careers. The recipients were Ginger Kieffer, Hannah Hebert, Olivia Sleeper, Meredith Sleeper, Walker, Belyea and Ashley Richards.

Coach Andrew Kirby presented letters to the following members of the girls JV soccer team: Danielle Greenier, Jessica Rowland, Sara Boyer, Mollie Cummings, Jenna Boucher, Jenson Jones, Bria Rossignol, Hailey Caron, Mariesa Sarmiento, Emilee Susi, Madison Staples, Bria Judd, Emma Jandreau, Nicole McHattie, Madison Doody, Molly Adams and Raylee Cloney.

Coach Todd Albert presented awards to the following members of the girls varsity soccer team: letters: Eileen Patton, Morgan Outing, Erin Patton, Sammy Camy, Kelsie Espling and manager Chaya Karunasiri; plaques: Sarah Doak, Reanna Plourde, Clara Collins, Delaney Williams, Regan Buck, Haley Hunter, Alissa Randolph and manager Alana Sirois; trophies: Kendra Stephens and Katelynn Tardie; and jackets: Ginger Kieffer, Hannah Hebert, Olivia Sleeper and Meredith Sleeper.

Coach Shawn Savage presented awards to the following members of the varsity golf team: certificate: Caleb Willett; letters: Dayna Savage, Donovan Savage, Tyler Dombroski, Justin Ouellette, Jordan Bevins and Ricky Sheldon; plaque: Katie Pelletier; and trophies: Connor Thibeault and Cory Rideout.

Coach Keegan Wakana presented letters to the following members of the boys JV soccer team: Hunter Milliard, Benjamin Ezzy, Austin Griffeth, Matt Caron, Nicholas Frost, Colby Holdsworth, Dylan LaMothe, Richard Newland, Paul Hanson, Dylan Conroy, Dustin Bouchard and Mason Huck.

Coach Scott Hunter presented awards to the following members of the boys varsity soccer team: letters: Ethan Plourde and Mike Hunter; plaques: Matt Manter, Cody Herbert, Adam Collins, Nick Whitehead, Mike Selander, Kaleb Corriveau, Matt Frost, Kameron Manter and manager Alexa Massey; trophies: Matt Milliard, Sean Barbosa, Lucien Caverhill, Nolan McDuffie and Breen Blackstone; and jacket: Dean Walker.

Coach Thomas Beckum presented awards to the following members of the girls cross country team: JV letters: Lauren Chapman, Olivia Engstrom, Maggie Cyr, Anna Soderberg, Sirena Cyr, Maura Freme, Elise Gudde, Kaitlyn Ring, Rebecca Walker, Taylor Hartley and Alissa Irving; varsity letters: Mackenzie Deveau, Alexis McCrossin and Chelsea Haney; plaques: Chelsea Bard, Kristen Macek, Nerissa Larrabee and Robyn Larrabee; and jackets: Mackenzie Belyea and Ashley Richards.
