Woodland – Eldora M. Nedeau, 98, wife of the late Herman Nedeau and Woodland’s oldest resident died October 18, 2012, at Caribou. She was born in Perham August 30, 1914, the daughter of the late James and Laverna (Conroy) Curran. She attended school in Perham and Caribou and she married Herman Nedeau June 20, 1936. Mrs. Nedeau was a lifelong member of the Caribou Assembly of God and was employed by American Kitchen Foods in Caribou for a number of years. She was a loving and devoted wife, and mother and will be fondly remembered by her family for all of the goodies that she canned, and her homemade butter and doughnuts. Many were the recipients of her knit mittens, sweaters, socks, and Afghans. She also donated many of her knit items for various church projects.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Frances Nedeau of Cabot Arkansas; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Shirley Shorey of Arizona, Marilyn and John Wilcox of Woodland and Carolyn and Gene Holmes of Bristol, Ct.; two sisters, Anne Drier and Margaret Bauman both of California; twelve grandchildren; twenty great- grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Nedeau was predeceased by her husband in 2001; a grandson, Michael; a son-in-law, Rev. Dale Shorey; two sisters, Mary Curran and Mary Helstrom; and three brothers, Allen, William and Clifford Curran.
