Lady Luna Moth’s School of Witchery

Members of the Aroostook Paranormal Society are unveiling their Lady Luna Moth’s School of Witchery for ages 13 and older on Saturday, Oct. 20. The event will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Limestone Municipal Building Conference Room with a $3 materials fee; the school is open to both males and females with a 24-person limit. Those wishing to participate are encouraged to RSVP by calling 325-4587 and leaving a message or e-mailing the group at aroostookparanormal@yahoo.com and entering the event name and the word “registration” in the subject line.


Annual Apple Pie Baking Contest

Members of the Limestone-Caswell Historical Society are holding their second annual Apple Pie Baking Contest at the museum, located at 77 Access Highway in Limestone, on Saturday, Oct. 20.

Homemade pies with an eight- or nine- inch diameter may be entered in the contest along with a list of ingredients (in case of food allergies). Pies should be brought to the museum before the judging begins at 1 p.m.

Pies made with store-bought crusts and/or fillings will be disqualified.

Prizes will be awarded for “Best Overall’ in each of three divisions — the 16-and-under division, men’s division and women’s division.

Entry forms can be picked up at Grammie’s Treasures, located at 14 Main Street in Limestone.
