Caribou — Barbara D. Duplessie, 78, died September 30, 2012, at Caribou. She was born in Woodland January 21, 1934, the daughter of the late Floyd and Glenna (Cameron) Gardner Dow. She was a graduate of Caribou High School and was a member of the Caribou United Baptist Church. Barb was a loving mother and was employed at various occupations in the area over the years.
She is survived by a special daughter and a special son-in-law, Glenna and Gerald Searles of Woodland; a daughter, Greta Wilson of Presque Isle; two sons, Ernest and Elmer Holmes; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Duplessie will also be lovingly remembered by special friends Joyce Rossignol, Jo-Ann Kelley and Lois Wing.
Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2012, from the Chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home with Rev. Otto Palmer, officiating.
