Choral society looking for voices

CARIBOU — Officials with the Caribou Choral Society are looking for more singers. The thirty-six year old community chorus would like to welcome new and former singers as its rehearsals begin on Tuesday evening, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m. at the Mormon Church recreation room, located at 67 Paris Snow Drive in Caribou.

The choral group sings advanced four-part music of all styles from classical and sacred, to traditional and popular Christmas songs.

Auditions are not required, but dues of $12 are paid per season to help defray the cost of new sheet music. Concert dates are scheduled for Friday, Dec. 14 and Saturday, Dec. 15 in Presque Isle and Caribou. All area and Canadian singers from ages sixteen and up are encouraged to join. For more information, please contact conductor Dan Ladner at 764-1482.
