Breanna Saucier of Presque Isle recently adopted a new kitten at the Halfway Home Pet Rescue Cat Adoption Fair. The adoption fairs are held each Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. at Ouellette’s Variety on Sweden St. in Caribou, which is the former Images location of the store. Currently there are several kittens ready for adoption including a few orange and white, two Maine Coon mixes, tigers, black and white, gray and white, and muted gray. “The choice is yours!” said HHPR President Norma Milton. The adoption fee is $55 for a kitten under the age of four months which includes a spay/neuter voucher, distemper shot, and parasite prevention treatments. All adult cats over the age of four months are adoptable for $25. These adult cats are all spayed/neutered, Leukemia/AIDS tested, wormed, distemper and rabies vaccination and have also received parasite prevention treatments.
