Elvis Entertainer Robert Washington is coming to Caribou on July 21.

Even 35 years after his death, Elvis Presley is still one of the most loved and recognized performing artists in the world.  Elvis’ music, movies, and his life are as popular today as they have ever been.

This summer, Elvis Entertainer Robert Washington will be coming to Aroostook County for two shows. The “Elvis is in the County” show will be held on Saturday, July 21 at 7 p.m. at the Caribou Performing Arts Center, and on Sunday, July 22 at 2 p.m. at the Houlton Community Arts Center.

The show features two sets: the first focusing on Elvis’ younger days, and the second set conjuring up a typical Elvis Vegas lounge act.

Washington made his first visit to Aroostook County in 2008, wowing a nearly full house at the Caribou Performing Arts Center.

Longtime Elvis bodyguard Sam Thompson was quoted as saying “When I closed my eyes, I was amazed! Robert Washington sounded the closest to Elvis I have ever heard.”

Tickets to the “Elvis is in the County” Show are $10 for adults and $5 for Students. The Caribou performance is sponsored by Channel X Radio; the Houlton performance is sponsored by WHOU and WBCQ-FM.

Tickets for the Elvis show are on sale at Foster’s One Stop and Paradis Shop & Save in Caribou,  Bradley’s Citgo and the Aroostook Centre Mall in Presque Isle, York’s Bookstore and Paradis Shop & Save in Houlton, Tulsa in Van Buren, and Paradis Shop & Save in Madawaska and Fort Kent. Unsold tickets will also be available at the door.
