Danny Boy, a 2-year-old fixed male with all routine medical procedures completed, would love to be adopted into a lively, happy, family home with several children to play with. At this time, Danny is living in a local Halfway Home Pet Rescue (HHPR) foster home and is greatly loved by the volunteers, who say that Danny gets along with the other family pets. “He is gentle, mellow, clean, sweet and to be cherished forever,” volunteers said. “Nothing bothers dear Danny and he is not prone to hissy fits — just kisses and purrs.” Danny would love to be allowed to be an inside/outside cat if in a safe traffic area as he appears to be street smart. Otherwise, a farm would be lovely. His adoption fee is $40, and additional information can be obtained by calling 492-1722. HHPR will be participating in the Caribou City-wide Yard sale on Saturday, May 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. “We will not participate on Sunday,” said HHPR President Norma Milton, adding that everything must go. “On this same Saturday and the days leading up to it, we would love to have you drop off your returnable bottles and cans to go toward our medical expenses for the cats. A big blue barrel is in front of the garage at 11 Pioneer Ave, Caribou, for your convenience.” HHPR will be closed from Sunday, May 20 to Thursday, May 31 for vacation time.
