Dave and Sandy Marrett, owners of Works of Heart, located on the corner of Water and South Main streets were presented with the Caribou Area Chamber of Commerce Downtown Revitalization Award during the May 4 annual Chamber dinner and recognition evening held at the Caribou Inn and Convention Center.

Dave and Sandy Marrett, owners of the retail gift shop Works of Heart, were the recipients of the Caribou Area Chamber of Commerce Downtown Revitalization Award, presented during the May 4 dinner and recognition evening.

“In a leap of faith, Dave and Sandy Marrett, by re-using and re-opening one building helped bring life back to that area of the city. We (city of Caribou) have always had charm and quaintness — but we have it now in spades,” said Jim Cyr, who presented the award.

Works of Heart, located in the former landmark Richie building, on the corner of Water and South Main streets, is a haven for shoppers seeking Maine-made gifts and home decor.
