Former Home Ec teacher enjoying life

To the editor:

Just a note to tell you what a thrill it was to see the announcement of my Dad’s and Mother’s wedding in your paper’s From our Files section. It was sent to me by two of my relatives who take your paper.

I have many fond memories of Caribou since I taught home economics for five years at the high school (1935-40.)

EVELYN E. HAMILTON (B.S., Simmons College, University of Maryland, Syracuse University Summer Session. Limestone, Maine) taught Home Economics II, III, Personality Course and Home Economics Club at Caribou High School from 1935-40. Now living in Salisbury, Md., Mrs.White will celebrate her 100th birthday on June 8th.

I will be celebrating my 100th birthday on June 8, 2012. I am still living in my own home thanks to the care of my son and daughter and I am still enjoying life.

A fond “hello” to any of my former students who might still be in the area.

Evelyn White, Salisbury, Md.
