I have a dream. It is to be a great basketball player. I am a good basketball player now, but I want to be better. I am Alicia Fortin, and my brother taught me how to play. In my dream I am a basketball player and trying to get on the team. So there I was sitting on a chair thinking about getting on the Limestone Eagles team. I didn’t know if I should try to make the team or stay home and play there. Maybe I should play more at home before I join the team.

In my dream it was the next day. I was playing in my backyard. A car pulled up. It was Kobe, James, Michael, Derrick Rose, Dwayne Wade and Dwayne Howard. The best basketball players of all time came to my house. They taught me how to play better.

The big day came. I was on the Eagles ball team. I was making all kinds of shots. The score was 12 to 23, and we played the Bears.

I got Rookie of the Year. It was pretty cool seeing all kinds of people looking at me on the court making all kinds of points. The day came that I got hurt. I had broken fingers. I could not play on the team for about two weeks. That’s what the doctor said.

In my dream it was two weeks later. I got back on the Limestone Eagles scoring all kinds of points again. I was just as good as before the broken fingers. The team was pretty good after I came back. When I got hurt, they were pretty bad while I was gone. They were better when I came back to play basketball again.
