Where can you go
If you’re haunted by bullies?
Can you hope to escape
This world of fear?
I ask myself this
What is the answer?
As I walk down the hallway
I hear loud noises
I know they are children
Being slammed against walls
Can it ever be stopped?
What is the answer?
Why do they do this?
Does it give them pleasure?
To see little kids running for safety?
To know that they caused this fear?
I know not why they do it.
Can you tell me the answer?
If you look and you see
A person being bullied,
Do you watch it with pleasure?
Do you stand idly by
Thinking, “At least it’s not me!”
Do you?
What is the answer?
I found it here.
“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.”
– Dr Seuss, The Lorax
