Caribou — Elizabeth Helen Wing, 88, wife of the late Edward A. Wing died March 13, 2012, at a Caribou nursing facility. She was born at Caribou September 8, 1923, the daughter of the late Peter and Bertha (Durost) Page. Mrs. Wing was employed by the Birds Eye Division of General Foods in Caribou for over 30 years. She was a long-time member of the Caribou United Baptist Church and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Wing is survived by her three sons, Richard Wing and his wife, Lois of Caribou, Ronald Wing of Presque Isle and Randy Wing and his fiancée, Bridget Benson of St. Albans; one sister, Linda Hott of Austintown, Ohio; eleven grandchildren, Irene Wilcox and her husband, Andy, Deborah Smith and her husband, Gregg, Richard Wing II and his wife, Stephanie, Adriana McCarty and her husband, Dale, Travis, Stacey, Roxanne, Troy, Melissa, Wendy and Brooke Ann Wing; 23 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Edward in 2009; a sister, Dorothy Ahern and two brothers, Edwin and Victor Page.
Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou 6-8 p.m., Thursday. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2012, from the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. John Kiehn, officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Following the service all were invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at the Caribou Inn and Convention Center. www.mocklerfuneralhome.com
