Student-athletes were recently honored for their accomplishments during the winter sports season by being named to All-Aroostook teams.
Team sports like soccer, basketball, baseball, softball and tennis are selected by coaches, while individual sports such as cross-country, golf, alpine and Nordic skiing, swimming, wrestling and track and field are selected by criteria established by the Aroostook League.
Selected for Class B/C boys basketball were: Chad Caverhill, Cody Herbert and Dayne Savage, Caribou; Curtis Bouchard and Tom Enerva, Fort Kent; Kyle Bouchard, Houlton; Matt Deschenes, Madawaska; and Tyler Brooks, Matt Eager and Andrew Kofstad, Presque Isle.
Chosen for Class B/C girls basketball were: Alexa Massey, Rebecca McDougal and Jamie Martin, Caribou; Samantha Carapellucci, Fort Kent; Amanda Fogarty and Tori Hanson, Houlton; Nicole Cyr, Madawaska; and Chandler Guerrette, Chelsea Nickerson and Kayla Richards, Presque Isle.
