A benefit spaghetti dinner, silent auction and dance will be he held on Saturday, April 7, at the Lister/Knowlton VFW Post Home on the Van Buren Road in Caribou, beginning at 5 p.m.
This event will benefit Steve Michaud of Caribou, who was diagnosed with stage-4 bladder cancer. Michaud, who has undergone several medical treatments, continues to fight this difficult battle.
A native of Caribou and a loving father, grandfather, husband and friend, Michaud, over the past years has given to the Caribou community, serving as a police officer, DARE office, teacher and as an employee at the Maine Military Authority.
A donation of $10 is requested (children under age 5 free) to attend the April 7 benefit. Advance tickets can be purchased at Caribou One Stop, Maine Military Authority, Reno’s Restaurant and The Bank of Maine.
Those having items they wish to donate for the silent auction are asked to contact Trisha at 325-1501.
The benefit evening is sponsored by the Caribou Lioness Club along with friends and family of Michaud.
