It was a victorious March 10 competition for Limestone’s elementary level Destination Imagination team, as they emerged champions from Regionals at Eastern Maine Community College in Bangor. The seven members of the first-place team are, from left, Amelia Roy, Tom Pinette, Megan Tucker, Taylor Labreck, Taylor Devoe, Karoline Dillenbeck and Karson Albert. The team’s veteran coaches are in back, David King and Alva King, who’s the Limestone Community School’s fourth-grade teacher.

“We’ve very excited for our elementary team and very proud of their hard work,” said LCS Principal Leland Caron. “Destination Imagination has been such a huge part of the Limestone Community School over the years, and we’re very proud of our students for continuing their success at the regional level.”

Next on the winning team’s schedule is a trip to the University of Maine for the state competition; if they win there, the team’s off to Nationals in Tennessee.

Limestone’s Middle Level Destination Imagination team attended the March 10 competition as well and while the team didn’t place, they reportedly had a good time competing.

“We’re proud of mid level as well,” Caron said. “They worked hard, they put in long hours solving their problem and we’re proud of the effort and time they put in.”
