Wright, John C. Jr., 76, of Caribou, in Caribou, on February 4, 2012. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., February 8, from the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Arrangements are in the care of Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.


American Flag ColorCaribou — John C. Wright Jr., 76, died February 4, 2012 at Caribou. He was born in Hobart Oklahoma December 26, 1935, the son of the late Cecil and Phala (Catchings) Wright. Mr. Wright was a retired US Air Force Staff Sergeant where he was a jet engine mechanic on B-52’s at Loring Air Force Base. Following his retirement he continued his employment with the civil service at Loring as a painter. He was a member of the Lister Knowlton Post 9389 VFW, the Henry B. Pratt Post 15 American Legion and Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Gertrude Blanchette Wright of Caribou; one daughter, Teresa Wright of Oklahoma; his stepson, Floyd Blanchette and his wife, Judith of Coventry Ct.; two sisters, Janet Fay and Deanna Gay; his grandchildren, Monica, Raymond and Tina. Mr. Wright was predeceased by a son, Keith.

Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2012, from the Parish of the Precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Fr. Aaron Damboise, officiating.
