The Caribou Parks and Recreation Department hosted its local hotshot competition Friday.
The top-three finishers will now move on to the regional Hotshot competition, to be held at the Caribou Wellness Center Feb. 22. Winners in that event will qualify to participate in the State competition held at the Portland Expo in March.
Boys 9-10: first, Jacob Berkoski, 120 points; second, Dagan Savage, 107; third, Parker Deprey, 98; girls 9-10: first, Kaylyn Krul, 63; second, Taylor Skidgel, 51; third, Kimmy Susi, 39; boys 11-12: first, Dawson Hebert, 130; Evan Desmond, 100; third, Gabe Rand, 84; girls 11-12; Madison Doucette, 108; Sierra Herbert, 84; third, Chrissy Skidgell, 83; boys 13-15: first Josiah Krul, 117; Donovan Savage, 110; third, Nick Allen, 103; and girls 13-15: first, Jenna Boucher, 90.

Father-Daughter
Sweetheart Dance
On Friday, Feb. 10 the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center will host their annual Father Daughter Sweetheart Dance from 7-9 p.m. Admission is $5 per couple. Photos by Duane will also be available for a fee.
Ski trails
The trails at the Caribou Country Club are now open for the season with skate skiing lanes and set track. Snowshoers are welcome; please stay out of classical track. No pets please.
Snowshoe and ski rentals
Snowshoes and cross country ski rentals are available at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center on a daily, weekend or seasonal basis. For additional information please contact the office at 493-4224.
