PRESQUE ISLE — For the second straight week, University of Maine-Presque Isle women’s basketball player Rashell Saucier has been recognized as a “Player of the Week.”

The USCAA honored Saucier for her 12 points per game, 13.6 rebounds per game average in three contest from Nov. 28 –  Dec. 4.

The 5-8 forward was able to put up those numbers over a very tough “three games in three days” weekend stretch that saw UMPI make the 9-hour trip to Wesleyan University for a tournament and then make a stop in Chestnut Hill, Mass. on Sunday, Dec. 4 to take on Pine Manor College.

Saucier registered “double-doubles” in two of the three contests, a 19-point, 14-rebound performance against Worcester State on Dec. 3, followed by a 13-point, 13-rebound game the next day against the Gators.
