CARIBOU — Richard D. Powell, 84, died November 24, 2011, in Caribou, Maine.
Richard was born in Fort Fairfield, Maine, on May 29, 1927. After serving in the Army during World War II, he settled in Duluth, Minn. area and was employed by the DM&IR Railroad until he retired in 1982.
Proceeding him in death, his mother, Meta Golding; wife, Marion; granddaughter, Kimberly; brother, Jim and sisters, Louise Norsworthy and Maxine Currie.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn M. Powell; his brother, Keith; sisters, Jackie Aucoin and Roberta Whitten; daughters, Judy Soppo, Susan Wilkie, Melanie Trosby, Marsha (Steve) Hills, Maureen (Richard) Nendel; step-children, Greg & Jean Jacobs, James & Sue Jacobs, Kurt & Candy Jacobs and Janice Jacobs.
Dick had numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
