PRESQUE ISLE – Phillip G. Graham, 83, died Saturday, March 28, 2009, after a long illness. He was born Nov. 19, 1925, in Littleton, Maine, the son of Lillian Watson Graham and Howard H. Graham.
Phil attended Presque Isle High School and was the sales manager at Silvers Chrysler-Plymouth in Presque Isle for more than 25 years. He was a life-long member of the Grant Memorial United Methodist Church and an avid ice skater who helped organize the Skating Club of Presque Isle.
He was a member of the Trinity Masonic Lodge No. 130 of Presque Isle and a former member of the Anah Temple Shrine, Scottish Rites. He was also past worthy patron of Lunar Chapter No. 126, Order of the Eastern Star in Presque Isle.
Phil is survived by wife, Florence "Josie" Graham of 63 years of Presque Isle. Also surviving are two brothers, Hubert Graham and his wife, Audrey, of Washburn and Leland Graham and his wife, Joyce, of Stafford, Conn. He is also survived by a sister, Pauline Moran, of Presque Isle and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Benn, of Houlton and many nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by two daughters, Diane Higgins and her husband, A. Jay, of Manchester; Mary Alice Boulier, and her husband, Robert, of Presque Isle; a son, Frank and his wife, Tessa, of Chandler, AZ.
Known to the children in his family as Boom-Pa, Phil is also survived by six grandchildren, Eric Heath, and his wife, Lisa, of Bridgton; U.S. Army National Guard Capt. Jeffrey Heath, of Spanaway, WA; Holly Shields and her husband, Mark, of Bar Harbor; Amanda Pawlowski and her husband Tim, of Chicago,IL.; Capt. Robert J. Boulier III, of Hill AFB, UT and Phillip Boulier, of Presque Isle. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren, Eathan Heath, of Bridgton; Jeffrey M. Heath and Mitchell Heath, both of Las Vegas, NV and Madalyn Shields, Delaney Shields and Jacob Shields, all of Bar Harbor.
Phil was predeceased by his mother and father as well as three brothers, Olin, Bernard and Allison. His family will be forever grateful to Dr. S. Wood and his caregivers at the Rehab and Nursing Center of Presque Isle.
