Cary to host Nov. 14th ceremony for Dr. Quayle

Colleagues, friends and former patients of Dr. Elizabeth Scott Quayle, are invited to a Memorial Service for on Monday, Nov. 14 at 1:30 p.m. in the Chan Center at Cary Medical Center.  

Dr. Quayle, a Neurologist at Cary for the past 30 years, died at the Caribou hospital on Oct. 26.  Kris Doody, R.N., and CEO at Cary said that the Memorial Service will be a ‘Celebration’ for a life of caring.

“Dr. Quayle, or Liz, as we fondly remember her, dedicated her entire life to the practice of Medicine,” said Doody, who will speak at the Memorial Service.  “She was a caring and brilliant doctor, someone who loved the practice of medicine and was equally loved by her patients. Her passing is a big blow to the medical community here and she will be missed by all of us.”

Members of Dr. Quayle’s family will be traveling from England and Toronto, to attend the memorial service. Born in Cheadle, Cheshire, England, Dr. Quayle was 66 years of age.  

The Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home is managing arrangements for the Memorial Service.  In lieu of flowers, contributions are being accepted in memory of Dr. Quayle, by the Jefferson Cary Foundation, P.O. Box 89, Caribou, Maine 04736.
